Pressotherapy (Lymphatic Drainage)

 

Pressotherapy activates the return circulation (venous and lymphatic), stimulating the reabsorption of interstitial fluids and their drainage towards the body’s organic filters.  The therapy applies a series of synchronized pressure manipulations are applied centripetally, for the purpose of draining the limb(s).

 

Effects

·          Promotes the reabsorption of interstitial fluids and retained toxins

·          Stimulates venous and lymphatic drainage towards the body’s organic filters

·          Increases the elasticity and reactivates the vitality of the tissues

·          Unblocks the nodes before draining the lymphatic ducts

·          Has an analgesic and soothing effect as it reabsorbs the oedematous compression of the nerves

 

Pressotherapy is fundamental after plastic surgery especially liposuction.

 

Cosmetic therapy sessions will last for approximately 20 to 45 minutes.  The usual pattern frequency is 2-3 sessions per week.

 

Ultrasound Therapy

 

Sound produces a series of pressures and decompressions on the body that confer an oscillatory movement on the intra- and extracellular particles.  It subjects them to violent acceleration, a halt and then acceleration in the opposite direction.  This helps to stimulate cell metabolism and the blood circulation, producing hyperaemia in the area.

 

Therapeutic effects:

·          Increase in blood circulation

·          Stimulation of tissue regeneration

·          Increased permeability of cell membranes which promotes cell exchange and the reabsorption of fluids and metabolic waste products.  This gives an anti-inflammatory reabsorption effect

·          Analgesic and muscle relaxant effect

·          Increased permeability and elasticity

 

Application time is between 5 and 20 minutes, depending on the area involved.  The treatment may be given daily or ever other day, up to a maximum of 20 sessions.

 

Infared Wave Therapy

 

Infared is electromagnetic waves bordering on the spectrum of visible light. When infa-red radiation is absorbed by the body tissues it turns into local heat which spreads to affect neighboring structures.  Its main application in cosmetic therapy is to secure thermolipolysis (heat-induced destruction of fat).

 

A typical treatment lasts 10 to 30 minutes.

 

Effects:

·          Stimulation of blood circulation, thereby improving tissue nutrition

·          Increased metabolism, with the activation of cell nutrition and oxygenation and the activation of tissue repair mechanisms

·          Anti-inflammatory

·          Detoxification

My post-operative care with Clarita has been a very positive experience.  It has been 3 weeks since my surgery.  I feel full of energy and minimal discomfort.  After every treatment I notice a positive change in my body.  The swelling and bumps in my abdomen, flanks, and lower back decreases with each treatment.  Clarita’s post operative treatments have played an important role in my healing process.  She is very compassionate and understanding.
